Fred and I took Brayden to Estes Park for The 4th of July and stayed with DiDi and GiGi. We had so much fun and wish we could have stayed longer! The weather was kind of rainy but it was cool, which was a welcomed break from Kansas City's very hot June!

Brayden loves the mountains! His two favorite activities were throwing rocks into the river and looking for reindeer (elk). The elk where everywhere. I have been going to Colorado in the summer since I was little and have never seen so many and so close to the main roads! Brayden also enjoyed our hike around Bear Lake. It is a short mile or so pretty flat hike. That wasn't adventurous enough for the Brayden boy though. He took off wanting to climb big steep rocks in his new hiking boots. He is really growing up fast and we had a hard time taking him home after the trip.
Brayden crashed hard after hiking. He is still coo coo for dinosaurs! He went to bed with his book, movie, and toy. He also liked the air plane in the Denver air port you see in this picture.

Yea Erin, good to see yall are still alive :) Looks like you've done some fun things this summer. Wish we could have joined you in Estes. We'll miss you this weekend. Happy early birthday!
